This page will provide our incoming students for English Studies and Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation with some useful information regarding the instructions or steps to be followed once in our Faculty.

For general information on application procedures and deadlines, acceptance, permits, accommodation and language requirements, please visit the INCOMING section at the UV International Relations website.

Once you have officially confirmed arrival with the UV International Relations Office (and received the Certificate of Arrival, signed and sealed, and the provisional student card), you must start the (academic) registration process in your relevant studies.

The International Office at our Faculty (OREIP), located on the ground floor of the Faculty building, will have by then sent you your registration date via email, your Coordinator’s office hours and your assigned mentor. They will also inform you about the date of the Erasmus Welcome Meeting. It is very important that you attend the meeting, as you will receive the documents for registration and specific instructions from our administrative staff on the way to proceed.

Before officially enrolling, you must liaise with the Erasmus Coordinator for your studies (see the Contact section in this blog). Please bring with you the initial learning agreement signed and sealed by the Erasmus Coordinator at your sending institution. We will give you some information and academic advice and will sign and seal your learning agreement (your home institution will request it at some point).

In the Erasmus Welcome Meeting, we will give you the registration form, which you need to fill in with the courses and groups you wish to take. You will find all relevant information on timetables for the different degrees in our Faculty website (or click here). Once you have completed the form, you must see your Erasmus Coordinator again to have it signed and sealed. Please note that this is a necessary prerequisite, and you will not be allowed to register without this step.

Please note that it is compulsory to enrol in at least 50% of the courses of the area of studies (and faculty) for which you have been nominated by your home institution (specified in the bilateral agreement). You are allowed to choose subjects (up until the remaining 50%) from other degrees as long as there are no restrictions or there are free places. You have to check the courses and availability in the relevant school website.

Information on class times and exam dates is published in the Faculty website, as indicated above. Please make sure the courses you choose do not overlap or are taught in a different semester.

IMPORTANT: International students for the summer semester must check carefully that the groups you want to join are not full. For this, click on this link and follow «2nd semester courses – INCOMING».

You will officially register one or two weeks after the beginning of the semester. Prior to this, you may want to attend several classes before making a final decision. It is advisable to do so. This way you will be able to choose those courses that suit your academic interests best.

On the date you are given for registration, please bring with you 2 passport size photos and a photocopy of your passport (only the page with your ID info). We need these in order to issue your UV student card (which grants access to library and other services) and to receive a UV email account (which grants access to our Virtual Platform: Aula Virtual through username and password). After this, we will give you a bank receipt (7€) that covers some administrative costs (the cost of the student card + the student health insurance). You must pay the receipt as soon as possible and submit a copy of the bank receipt to our administrative services. Otherwise, your registration will not be complete.

On departure, at the end of your stay at the UV, you must collect in person the Certificate of Stay from the UV International Office. This Certificate confirms the period of stay at the University of Valencia, once your exchange transcript is closed. Please make sure you have this Certificate before leaving Valencia. Your home institution will request it on your return.
